Joseph Asbury, trademark JA
Joseph Asbury started as actionmaker around 1890 on 11 Weaman Row i Birmingham, moved to Lench Street cirka 1894. Soon to be a supplier of actions and locks for most of the Birmingham trade. From 1901 also barrels.
Did make most of the famous 12/2” that was sold by Skimmin&Wood between the wars to most of the trade.
The company was in the trade up to the end or shortly after the second world war when the company and it machines was bought by AA Brown one of his customers.
