German proofmarks

There are three periods in the German proof system, divided into two countries. And two world war and the development of firearms over the time, so one shall not be to surprised that the proof in Germany is a bit difficult to get a grip on.

Add that a lot the registers for the proofhouses was lost during the war, or afterwards during the soviet occupation one realizes that there are questions still to be answered for the period up to 1945.

And there is at least a different proof system for each period, so proof marks from Germany is a tricky one.
